We are seeking a Vice President Corporate Controller to join our team! Reporting to the CFO, the Corporate Controller is a senior member of the ATLAS Finance & Accounting team and will play a critical role in leading the accounting department and implementing robust internal controls. This role involves overseeing all accounting activities, financial reporting, and compliance. He/She will coordinate cross‑functional activities and ensure alignment with the company’s financial goals and strategies.
The Corporate Controller acts as a trusted advisor to the CFO, serving as a liaison between the CFO and other stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Financial Reporting:
Ensure timely and accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP. Oversee month‑end and year‑end close process. Prepare consolidated financial statements for multiple entities. - Accounting Operations:
Supervise accounting department including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions. Develop, implement, and maintain accounting processes and procedures to improve efficiency and financial accuracy. - Internal Controls:
Design and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Lead internal and external audits, ensuring timely completion. - Systems:
Participate as a leader in the ERP implementation, spearheading testing, developing process improvements, and acting as subject matter expert. - Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance work environment. Provide training and support to ensure the team is up‑to‑date on best practices.
- CPA preferred with 10+ years of experience, including a combination of public accounting and industry experience.
- Similar industry experience preferred (engineering, design, professional services).
- ERP implementation experience, including process improvement.
- Experience with consolidations, legal entity reporting, external audits, accounting memos, etc.
- Ability to establish and build relationships with geographically dispersed team members; travel up to 25 %.
- Expert Excel skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
