WhatWill You Do?
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, repair, and operation of electrical control systems within the facility.
- Ensure all electrical control equipment functions effectively, safely, and in compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Lead a team of technicians and assemblers, coordinating work schedules and liaising with other departments to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Supervise workers that operate production machinery, assemble items, perform quality control, or package goods for shipment; work independently or with minimal supervision.
- Monitor output of assigned area(s) against established schedules or quality goals.
- Coordinate the flow of work through the department and ensure sufficient inventory levels to meet demand and staffing requirements.
- Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and ensure high‑quality workmanship.
- Provide training, mentoring, and performance evaluations for team members.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Standing and walking for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required. A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience following policies, procedures, and practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading and directing work of other employees.
- Experience with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience operating WMS and ERP programs such as JDE and DAS.
- Experience documenting and running daily production reports.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Extensive experience in electrical controls, PLC systems, and automation.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with relevant electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Ability to operate motorized and non‑motorized equipment (e.g., pallet jack, fork lift, reach truck, stand‑up lift).
