30-year-old commercial subcontracting company has an average tenure of 15 years with employees! The current Controller is retiring and leaving the books in great shape. This 100-person company is privately owned with super leadership, and the company culture has asked Accountants One to locate their next Controller to oversee 2 staff in their Accounting and Finance group. This 16M company is a privately owned C-Corp with a strong benefits package, 401K and profit sharing.
Moreabout this highly visible leadership role:
Responsibilities:
- Full responsibility for closing the month and year-end
- WIP reports, review WIP billing and cost to complete
- Production of financials for leadership
- FP&A:
- Cash flow Management
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Variance analytics and ad hoc reporting
- HR responsibilities:
- Time card collection, payroll
- Insurance and benefits
- Serve as the primary liaison with external tax accountants and auditors
- Supervise 2 knowledgeable staff who have been there a long time
- Previous construction accounting experience, WIP billing, cost to complete
- Previous experience with cash flow forecasting and strategy
- Positive and fun attitude
