Our client is a growing manufacturing company in the Minneapolis area that’s looking for a Staff Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 0-3+ years of experience, who is independent, and organized. This company offers flexibility, a collaborative team, and professional growth & development opportunities. This position is hybrid.
The salary for this position is $60K - $65K.
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES- Generate and submit accurate customer invoices through ERP systems, email, and customer portals.
- Apply customer payments and resolve unapplied cash, deductions, short payments, and account discrepancies.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging, collect past-due balances, and respond to billing and payment inquiries.
- Maintain accurate customer account records, credit documentation, and supporting files.
- Reconcile the accounts receivable subledger and assigned balance sheet accounts to the general ledger and resolve variances.
- Prepare journal entries for review, month-end reports, and supporting schedules, and complete assigned close activities.
- Assist with financial analysis, audit requests, process improvements, and special projects.
The Staff Accountant will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED- Associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required;
Bachelor's degree preferred - 0-3+ years of recent accounts receivable or general accounting experience.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and data reconciliation.
- Strong organizational, analytical, time-management, and communication skills.
