Position: Student Activities Coordinator (Fed/State Eligibility Only)
Job Summary
  • Coordinate, and execute events and programs for students on the Duluth Campus to curate social connection, a sense of belonging, and an overall enjoyable atmosphere
  • Manage all aspects of an event from pre-planning, determining resource needs, pre-event marketing, on-site coordination, to post-event follow up
  • Order supplies needed for events and ensure items arrive in a timely fashion
  • Assist in vendor/performer selection and negotiating the best possible rates and terms
  • Develop effective and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Supervise events, provide a welcoming atmosphere and general direction to attendees
  • Plan and execute pre-event marketing while implementing creative marketing
  • Create marketing and advertisements for events

    Running errands quickly throughout shifts
  • Maintain advertising spaces designated to the Student Activities office
  • Provide psychological analysis when requested
  • Retrieve supplies when needed

    Work office hours and shifts at the port, completing office tasks while on shift including emails, phones, pop-up events, and social media inquiries among other tasks
  • Keep the office area clean and tidy
  • Become an active member of Saints life Campus Activities Board
  • This position reports to the Director of Student Activities Other duties may be assigned and/or necessary
Job Qualifications
  • Must be a current or incoming CSS student Federal work study eligibility is required
  • Computer skills required; prefer experience with MS Office Products
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential
  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to interact with a wide variety of people in a friendly, professional manner required

    Strong organizational and time management skills required
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient in a busy office environment with frequent interruptions is important
  • Typing proficiency required

    Job functions require sitting, standing, and walking during a shift
  • Professional presence to represent the College to the public required

    Ability to perform all of the above functions during an assigned workday without significant risk of injury
  • Good attendance is required
