Overview

By joining this team, you will be actively supporting the Land and Minerals Department through the management of tax-forfeited lands. This is a rewarding career opportunity that benefits the people of St. Louis County.

Responsibilities
  • Providing outstanding customer service and front office support.
  • Responding to in-person, phone and email inquiries.
  • Assisting with processing land transactions.
  • Applying for state deeds and filing documents for recording.
  • Providing support to the Information Specialist III where applicable.
Qualifications
  • Three (3) years full-time paid verifiable experience in a clerical support position.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate personal computer-based systems.
  • Proficiency, as defined by the Civil Service Commission, in operating word processing software.
  • Ability to type from clear copy at a rate of 40 w.p.m./net.
Compensation

The salary range reflected above is the normal hiring range for 2025. The full salary range, including longevity pay, is $21.04 - $28.63 per hour.

Qualified applicants must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Applicants selected must meet the physical requirements for the position.

Drug Testing

Applicants selected for appointment must take and pass a drug test.

Background Check

Applicants selected for appointment to a position with St. Louis County are subject to a background investigation.

Probationary Period

Appointees to the position must successfully complete a twelve-month probationary period prior to being certified for permanent employment.
