Overview
The UMD Department of Social Work seeks to add to its pool of instructors available to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels such as Organization & Community Practice, School Social Work, American Indian Social Work Practice, Social Work with Diverse Populations, Practicum, Advanced Practice in Child Welfare, and others. 15% to 100% positions for the academic year are available.
Fall Term is August 18th to December 31st, 2025. Spring Term is January 1st to May 17th, 2026.
Candidates will be considered for the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor, determined by qualifications. A master's degree is required for the rank of Instructor (9404), and a doctorate is required for the rank of Assistant Professor (9403).

Instructor Pay Range: $46,914 - $62,552 per year; depending on education/qualifications/experience
Assistant Professor Pay Range: $51,015.75 to $68,021 per year; depending on education/qualifications/experience
