Primarily hiring for Homecroft Elementary School.

Summary/Objective
The Lead Staff is responsible for assisting the coordinator in facilitating a high-quality out-of-school time program and ensuring goals are being achieved. Along with supporting a safe and engaging learning environment for youth in the program.

Essential Functions
- Assist with program design, preparation , and implementation
- Lead a group of youth during program time
- Help with risk management and youth behaviors by following the program behavior rubric.
- Assist with communication and relationship building with the school and f amilies
- Be reliable and responsible
- Attend staff meetings and trainings as required
- Provide support in administrative tasks, which includes activity planning, incident reporting, and program organization
- Assist with data entry and evaluation requirements
- Assist with tracking of snacksand at tendance
- Fosters an inclusive environment appreciative of differences in the workplace
- Meaningfully participate in and lead efforts to support the Y’s commitment to equity and diversity
- Overseeing site management in absence of Coordinator/Director
- Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility
- Supervision of staff in absence of Site Coordinator
This position operates in area schools and community centers and serves elementary aged youth. Other work environments include off-site field trips during summer or all-day programming, and supervising children outdoors in different types of weather.
