Responsibilities- Work on the Blatnik Bridge Replacement Project Team, assisting with design and construction oversight of the replacement project.
- Participate in MnDOT’s Design-Build oversight, reviewing design and construction submittals, elements of bridge design (steel beams, prestressed concrete beams, foundations), and select main span alternatives.
- Rotate through MnDOT’s Graduate Engineer Training Program (2-year rotations) with mentorship, trainings, and a network of engineers for growth.
- Transition to a permanent Engineer 2 Graduate position in the home base office after completing required criteria and rotations.
- Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil, Construction, Geoengineering, or Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited college/university or equivalent; GPA greater than 2.5; valid class D driver’s license. - Preferred Qualifications:
3.0 GPA or higher; FE certification or PE licensure;
Master’s Degree in Civil/Construction Engineering (structural emphasis) or Structural Engineering; advanced coursework in structures; experience in geotechnical engineering, foundation design, or retaining wall design. - Applicant evaluation may consider: GPA, advanced engineering degree, FE/PE certification, engineering work experience, MnDOT experience.
