• The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership and oversight for the electrical design, development, and execution of facility expansion and maintenance capital projects. Working closely with third‑party engineering firms, internal project teams, operations, and shared services groups, the incumbent ensures that all electrical systems are designed in compliance with corporate standards, industry regulations, and project requirements while meeting established cost, schedule, safety, and performance objectives.
• This role plays an integral part throughout the project lifecycle, from scope development and design review to construction support and project closeout. The Senior Engineer also acts as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance, mentoring junior engineers, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

• Lead and support the development of electrical project scopes, execution strategies, schedules, capital cost estimates, risk assessments, and supporting documentation during project development.
• Oversee electrical engineering activities performed by external engineering consultants to ensure alignment with project objectives, technical requirements, budgets, and schedules.
• Ensure all electrical facilities and systems are designed in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, industry codes, engineering standards, and company specifications.
• Review, evaluate, and approve electrical engineering deliverables, including drawings, calculations, technical reports, specifications, and material lists.
• Assess vendor quotations, perform technical bid evaluations, and recommend equipment and material selections based on technical performance, cost‑effectiveness, and delivery requirements.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain teams to facilitate procurement activities and support material acquisition through internal systems and processes.
• Analyze lessons learned from completed projects and implement improvements to enhance future project execution and design quality.
• Provide technical support and engineering expertise throughout construction, commissioning, startup, and project closeout activities.
• Act as a technical advisor to project teams, operations personnel, construction stakeholders, and other internal business units.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members, fostering knowledge sharing and professional development.
• Lead or contribute to departmental initiatives, process improvements, and engineering best‑practice development.
• Coordinate with internal functional groups to ensure project scope definitions satisfy environmental, regulatory, health, safety, and operational requirements.
• Support cross‑functional project reviews and facilitate stakeholder alignment on design requirements and project expectations.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate technical risks that could impact project safety, cost, schedule, reliability, or operational performance.
• Provide support and technical assistance to peers and senior staff to achieve business objectives, maintain compliance, and drive successful project outcomes.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement throughout all project activities.
