This position provides coverage during short‑term surge and on‑demand situations for military personnel and their families. Responsibilities include full personal financial counseling across the military lifecycle.

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families.
• Assist service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences.
• Develop and distribute informational financial materials.
• Coordinate, publicize, and deliver a wide variety of Personal Financial Management classes and workshops on topics such as pre‑ and post‑deployment, career events, and life‑stage transitions.
• Respond to requests for age‑appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilize virtual counseling or other electronic communication modes, such as web‑based chat or video‑teleconference, in compliance with OSD FINRED Program Office authorization.
• Manage duty‑to‑warn situations per Department of Defense protocol.
• Communicate with installation leadership and participate in regular individual and group supervision, sharing trends and issues.
• Participate in in‑services, training, quality improvement committees, or other contract activities as assigned.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree required (associate degree plus four years of experience or high school diploma plus six years of experience may be considered).
• Three or more years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizenship and fluent English (bilingual in English and Spanish may be required).
• Adjudicated Tier 2 investigation and passage of the Con‑ mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
• Certified as an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

Grade: 23
