Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Dietary Aide to join our team at Bayshore Residence and Rehabilitation Center. The Dietary Aide plays an essential role in supporting our residents’ nutritional needs by assisting in food preparation, meal service, and maintaining a clean and sanitary dining environment. This position offers flexibility for individuals who prefer to work on an as-needed basis while still making a positive impact in the lives of our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing and serving meals to residents in accordance with established menus and dietary guidelines.
  • Ensure meals are presented in an appetizing and resident-centered manner.
  • Deliver food trays to residents and assist with meal service in the dining room as needed.
  • Follow special diet orders and portion guidelines accurately.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas according to facility and state regulations.
  • Wash dishes, pots, pans, and maintain cleanliness of the dish room.
  • Restock supplies and assist with inventory control.
  • Adhere to infection control, food safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the dietary team and other staff to support resident satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in food service or healthcare setting preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and safety standards.
  • Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused.
  • Ability to work a flexible, PRN schedule (including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed).
