The Center for Indigenous Health (CIH) is part of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and employs approximately 250 staff across 10 satellite locations.

CIH conducts research in behavioral/mental health, infectious diseases, and offers graduate training and a broad range of public health services.

We are seeking a Senior Research Program Coordinator to support our research teams in Duluth, Southwest U.S., and Baltimore by coordinating field‑based public health services.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate multiple studies, serving as the primary liaison for day‑to‑day implementation and evaluation activities.
  • Recruit, train, and coordinate staff teams across multiple community‑based sites.
  • Act as the main liaison between the program team and tribal programs invested in improving community health outcomes.
  • Maintain knowledge of all assigned protocols and confidential source documentation for each participant.
  • Meet regularly with principal investigators and protocol leaders to review study progress and data accuracy.
  • Coordinate program implementation, monitoring, and evaluation to ensure study efficacy.
  • Provide updates on study progress as requested.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, both oral and written.
  • Contribute input to study design.
  • Participate in internal audits and ensure compliance with outside monitoring.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
  • Three years of related experience
  • Experience or education substitution per JHU equivalency formula (if applicable)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Report writing and presentation experience
  • Experience working with Native or Indigenous communities
Other Requirements
  • Must be able to travel, including overnight trips
  • Must be willing to work evenings/weekends as required
  • Must maintain required background clearance and a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
