Residential Services, Inc. (RSI) is hiring a part‑time In‑Home Services Worker (IHSW) for our In‑Home Adult program in Duluth, MN. As an IHSW, you will help people with disabilities and mental illness live their best, most independent lives. If you are compassionate, warm‑hearted, and reliable with a passion for advocating for others, apply to join our team.

As part of RSI’s private In‑Home support program, we provide services for an adult male with an intellectual disability who is living in his own apartment. Shift times will range between 9:30 am to 10:30 pm, with the possibility of split shifts. Every other weekend is required.

Salary: $20.25‑$21.25 per hour

What you’ll do as an Independent Living Skills Worker

As an IHS Worker, you will serve adults living in private home settings. You will help individuals achieve their maximum level of independence by providing skill training and supports needed to perform everyday tasks. You will work collaboratively with the person and their support team to implement support plans that help them achieve independence in a variety of skill areas:

  • Physical and personal needs
  • Communication
  • Household management
  • Community living/mobility
  • Reduction/elimination of maladaptive behavior
  • Sensory/motor development
  • Socialization
  • Vocational and educational
  • Health and wellness
For This Position, You Will Need
  • A valid driver’s license with no restrictions and a working vehicle
  • A two‑year degree in behavioral science or a related field preferred OR
  • One year of experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
  • To pass a post‑offer background check and Motor Vehicle Report check
