Concierge Attendant - Sheraton at Sheraton Duluth Hotel

This is a Sherman Associates owned Marriott International, Inc franchised location.

A Concierge Attendant is responsible for providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests from arrival to departure. The main focus is to engage every guest in conversation and recognition, as well as resolve any guest issues immediately while serving complementary food and beverage in the Preferred Guest Club Lounge. The Concierge Attendant must be knowledgeable and available to answer any guest inquiries regarding the city, events, and attractions.

Schedule: Part-time availability shifts on weekday mornings from 6‑10:10 am, 2‑3 days/week.

Pay: $16/hour.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates special events or special projects as assigned.
  • Serves alcoholic beverages, non‑alcoholic beverages and food in the Club Lounge.
  • Checks identification of guests to ensure guests are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages.
  • Cleans and maintains the serving space.
  • Ensures safe and proper food handling techniques are followed.
  • Problem‑solves guest related issues.
  • Responds to inquiries with accurate information regarding hotel features, services, and assistance.
  • Knowledgeable of daily functions, VIPs and any other special events occurring in or pertaining to the hotel.
  • Cleans and sanitizes work areas, utensils, and equipment.
  • Cleans service and guest seating areas.
  • Checks temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, and heating equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Stocks customer self‑service stations with paper products, snacks, and beverage preparation items.
  • Completes other tasks and duties as assigned based on business needs.
Qualifications
  • Previous hotel/hospitality or related service industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to pass required Alcohol service training.
  • A passion for the mission, vision, and values of Sherman Associates.
  • Shifts may vary due to the specific needs of the hotel.
  • Knowledge of Food Handler's Illness guidelines.
