Job Summary

The Master Scheduler plays a critical role in the Program Management team, directly supporting Product Development projects working closely with cross‑functional team members and the program manager to develop and maintain program schedules, identify critical path, and report program KPIs. Additionally, the Project Scheduler will provide training and standardization for all program scheduling activities.

Duties and Responsibilities / Essential Functions
  • Work with program managers, project engineers, and integrated project team members to develop, integrate, and maintain project schedules.
  • Work closely with resource managers and program managers to assign work, identify resource gaps, and critical path items.
  • Provide timely reports to communicate upcoming deliverables and resource forecasts.
  • Act as Enterprise administrator for MS Project (PWA) to develop and maintain calendars, lookup tables, resource pools, custom fields, templates, reports, filters, KPIs, user profiles/licenses.
  • Train team members to program management standards and best practices to ensure consistent and compliant schedules across all projects.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for MS Project issues.
  • Develop and integrate scheduling infrastructure with JIRA, Power BI, or other systems for reporting and/or automated synchronization.
  • Author and maintain scheduling standards.
  • Ensure schedule integrity.
  • Integrate and apply Earned Value methodology to forecast EAC, FTC and other schedule health metrics (CPI, SPI).
  • Managing project schedules requires extreme attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
Qualifications
  • PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 7 years project scheduling experience in a product development or engineering environment.
  • Minimum 5 years experience with MS Project (Desktop and Enterprise).
  • Experience with Primavera P6 and/or Deltek Open Plan (desirable but not required).
  • Experience with resource‑loaded schedules.

    Thorough understanding of Earned Value methodology and ability to apply EVM to program schedules and integrate with other systems (JIRA, ERP) to develop program health dashboards.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four‑year college or university (highly desirable but not required).
  • Project coordination or project management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in full Microsoft Office Suite including Power BI and SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization.
  • Self‑motivated; able to work with minimal supervision.
