Position: Immigration Paralegal (Korean-English Bilingual)

The Law Office of Tae K. Song in Duluth, Georgia, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Korean-English bilingual Immigration Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team supporting our employment-based immigration practice, with a focus on PERM case preparation, processing, and case management. This role involves assisting attorneys in preparing and filing immigration applications, conducting legal research, and managing case files efficiently within a fast-paced law office environment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative and project management skills, with a focus on providing exceptional support in immigration law matters. No prior immigration or paralegal experience is required.

Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys with preparing and filing immigration petitions and applications.
  • Conduct thorough legal research related to immigration laws and regulations.
  • Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Transcribe legal documents and correspondence as needed.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information and documentation for their cases.
  • Manage project timelines effectively to ensure timely submission of applications.
  • Provide clerical support, including scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars.
  • Communicate with government agencies regarding case status and updates.
Qualifications

PROFICIENCY IN ENGLISH AND KOREAN REQUIRED

  • Experience as a paralegal, preferably in immigration law or related fields such as family law or securities law. (Not required but a plus)
  • Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in legal research methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with file management systems used in a law office setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong project management capabilities.
