Sr. Project Manager - Jet Product Development

The Sr. Project Manager plays a critical role in the Program Management team, directly supporting Product Development projects throughout all stages of the project lifecycle from Discovery through Commercialization. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for scope, schedule, and budget, and leads the multi‑disciplinary Integrated Project Team (IPT) in planning, execution, managing risk, and resolving issues to reach critical milestones. The Senior Project Manager facilitates cross‑functional IPT, prototype build, PREP (Production Readiness and Execution Processes), and other project meetings essential to the success of the project.

• Leads cross‑functional project teams and facilitates project meetings as assigned.
• Prepares presentations and/or presents information as assigned.
• Uses analytic tools to evaluate and monitor overall project performance metrics.
• Leads or provides direct support for prototype builds, pre‑production builds, pilot builds, and production launch using the PREP methodology.
• Leads tactical teams for timely issue resolution.
• Maintains BOM cost metrics.
• Analyzes, reviews, and documents the GRRI (Gate Readiness Review Indicator) requirements of a project throughout its lifecycle.
• Identifies and records meeting notes, key decisions, and logs action items in JIRA; follows through with assignees to ensure timely execution of action items and escalates to program or functional leadership as needed.
• Learns and follows Cirrus New Project Introduction (NPIS) methodology and provides recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Mentors team members in the principles of NPIS.
• Fields program requisitions from IPT members, verifies purchase order requirements, and provides periodic updates (including budgetary) to requestors and program leadership.
• Completes project management tasks as assigned by Program/Platform leadership.
• Exhibits professionalism in speaking, presenting, and communicating with team members in all formats (public speaking, team meetings, PowerPoint, memos, emails, etc.).
• Maintains a positive outlook, demeanor, and attitude; seeks opportunities to bring positive outcomes and dispositions in others when dealing with sometimes critical or distressing information.
• Requires extreme attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in project leadership.
• Manages projects against the approved business case (MR&O, DR&O/OR&O, and financial outputs).
• Works closely with program leadership to develop program business case and plan.
• Facilitates gate reviews with senior leadership and cross‑functional team members to demonstrate that the program has met key milestones and deliverables of the NPIS phase.
• Maintains a business‑casual appearance as required for daily and/or meeting needs.
• Ensures regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
• Checks punctuality and preparedness at meetings; leads by example.
• Travel requirements estimated at 10%.
• Company vehicle driving requirements estimated at 5%; must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Operations, or another technical field.
• Five years of related experience in Project Management, Engineering, Operations, or a similar technical field.
• PMI (Program Management Institute) certification is strongly preferred (or the ability to obtain it within one year of onboarding).
• Leadership experience is required.
• Demonstrates sound judgement, identifies risks, and develops mitigation strategies.
• Ability to manage competing work demands and multiple project priorities simultaneously.
• Proficiency in the following systems and tools within the specified time frames:
