Summary
The ECSCM Senior Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing end-to-end supply chain, transportation, and logistics operations across multiple customer accounts while driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and business profitability. This role provides strategic leadership for department operations, organizational development, customer relationship management, and financial performance. The Senior Manager is accountable for developing operational strategies, managing key customer and supplier relationships, driving continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing transportation and supply chain networks, and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
In addition, this position plays a critical role in talent development, cross-functional collaboration, business expansion initiatives, and executive reporting to support sustainable growth and long-term operational success.
- Lead and manage the Transportation Operations team across all transportation modes and customer accounts
- Establish team goals, performance expectations, and operational KPIs
- Monitor team productivity, workload balance, and resource allocation
- Conduct performance coaching, employee development, and succession planning
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention efforts for transportation operations staff
- Develop future leaders and ensure organizational capability growth
- Develop and execute transportation operational strategies aligned with company objectives
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, scalability, and profitability
- Lead transportation network optimization and operational efficiency programs
- Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Support business expansion initiatives and new customer implementations
- Own and manage departmental operating budget and cost performance
- Monitor transportation profitability and support margin improvement initiatives
- Review carrier spend, operational expenses, and cost reduction opportunities
- Participate in annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Serve as executive operational sponsor for key customer accounts
- Lead customer business reviews (QBRs) and strategic operational discussions
- Support customer retention and growth initiatives through service excellence
- Partner with Sales and Procurement teams on major customer opportunities
- Establish strategic relationships with carriers, rail providers, ports, and warehouse partners
- Evaluate carrier performance and develop carrier sourcing strategies
- Serve as backup support for critical operational functions as required
- Cross-train employees to ensure operational continuity and knowledge sharing
- Develop and deliver operational training programs for team members
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management
$110,304 - $125,261 per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)
