Welder

Bend Tec, LLC has an exciting opportunity available for a Welder to be an integral part of our Fabrication team. We can meet you at any skill level, whether you are just starting your career or have years of experience under your belt.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts.
• Remove rough spots from work pieces using portable grinders, hand files or scrapers.
• Feather or remove tacks using electric or pneumatic grinders prior to welding beading pass.
• Chip or grind off excess weld, slag or spatter using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders or arc-cutting equipment.
• Weld components in flat, vertical or overhead positions.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, submerged arc welding and shielded metal arc.
• All welding on non-critical piping assemblies, structural and architectural assemblies, and any other non-high pressured piping assemblies.
• Non-production welding such as the attachment of holding legs and hydro test caps.
• Cleanup work area often and after every shift.
• Produce quality product as required by customer specifications and regulation requirements.
• Comply with safety and environmental guidelines, policies and regulations.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED):
  Preferred
• Experience:
  
  1 plus year of experience in welding:
  Preferred; additional onsite training!
