Painter - 2nd Shift (Shift Differential!)
Join Altec as a Painter on the 2nd Shift with a shift differential.
Responsibilities- Operate painting system and spray paint truck bodies or components using handheld spray gun
- Apply paint to obtain consistent dry film thickness and perform quality checks to ensure paint standards are met
- Check paint viscosity during shift and adjust as necessary; change solvent and paint drums and fill hardener and paint drums
- Maintain paint booth housekeeping, filter maintenance, and proper care of guns to minimize painting downtime
- Assist with proper surface preparation prior to painting and load/unload parts or components to be painted
- Monitor temperature gauges in paint booth and oven and maintain daily time records
- Support Altec Production System (APS) initiatives and participate in continuous improvement events
- Cross-train to support production needs in other work areas and effectively assist and train new/current associates
- Follow established safety, environmental, and quality policies, procedures, and practices, including proper use and care of PPE
- Maintain work area and shop tools/equipment and demonstrate commitment to Altec core values
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic reading, writing, and comprehension skills
- Basic computer usage knowledge
- Proficiency in spraying with paint guns
- Knowledge of automotive painting
- Proficiency in painting with electrostatic paint guns
- Proficiency in painting with HVLP paint guns

Pay RangePay range: $22.83 - $28.23/hour + $1.50 shift differential.
