Assembler Technician Level I – First Shift

Job Summary
As a Production Technician in Composites or Assembly, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks pivotal to building a plane or jet. You will learn to use a variety of hand tools and pneumatic fixtures to assemble parts. The role requires flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to learn new skills as needed.
Sign‑on Bonus – $2,000
Schedule
First shift M–Th; 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM;
Overtime as required.
Duties And Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Proficient with Assembler Technician III duties and beyond
- Strong ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and solve issues
- Writes NCRs and Squawks against defective parts
- Troubleshoots aircraft system issues and develops solutions
- Conducts on‑the‑job training with Technicians
- Expert in inspecting, building and installing aircraft components
- Understanding engineering drawing and specifications
- Master at ensuring part fit, clearance, alignment, and functional performance complies with design requirements
- Leader in cleaning, set‑up and use of bonding, drilling, and holding fixtures
- Installs rivets, screws, and bolts using appropriate tools
- Routes wires, cables and tubing
- Torques hardware and fittings using various tools and test equipment
- Follows and properly documents aircraft build instructions
- Wears personal protective equipment as required, including respirator
- Assists in mentoring new employees with appropriate processes and procedures
Qualifications
- Communicates issues to supervisor and cross‑functional areas acting as point of contact for specific aircraft system or installation process
- Capable of demonstrating procedures and installation techniques to others
- Possesses strong attention to detail and can examine completed work for accuracy
- Adapts to changing assignments
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced team environment
- High level of integrity and ability to communicate errors to leadership to ensure immediate correction
- Initiative to finish assignments and personal accountability for time management
- Reliable and dependable work ethic and can adapt to changing work requirements
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings and calculate dimensions within a thousandth of an inch
- Knowledge of basic tools and uses good judgment when selecting the proper tool for the job
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum one year related experience and/or training preferred

Other Duties
Additional duties may be assigned. Work beyond 40 hours per week may be required.
