3.25 Ecolibrium3 Community Engagement VISTA role Eco3 VISTA Corps focuses on addressing poverty by improving food access and systems, government policy, community development, education, health and wellness, creative placemaking, energy security, and more. VISTA members work with organizations that are deeply embedded in the community to help develop solutions to community challenges through leveraging resources, building partnerships, expanding reach, and improving organizational efficiency.
The VISTA member will increase organizational capacity to secure funding, raise community awareness, expand connectedness of community members to Eco3 programs, engage volunteers, and develop solutions that integrate existing resources with developing partnerships. The VISTA member will help develop strategic communications plans and expand a wide range of communications skills while building community participation in Eco3 projects and programs.
All cohort members will participate in VISTA-specific activities such as regular cohort meetings, collaborative projects, professional development opportunities, and trainings.
Member Duties- The member will engage with the community to further the mission of Ecolibrium3 and our relationships within the community.
- Develop a volunteer management framework that attracts, engages, and retains volunteers to support Earth Week, the LNPK Community Center, and LNPK Grocery.
- Ensure streamlined communication, consistent opportunities, and meaningful appreciation to enhance volunteer experiences and build long-term capacity.
- Pilot and refine the volunteer appreciation process, incorporating feedback loops and evaluation methods for volunteer events.
- Build recruitment efforts, particularly in the local neighborhood, to establish sustainable volunteer structures.
- Create comprehensive documentation of processes and practices for continued success after the term ends, positioning the organization for long-term capacity growth.
- Determine effective synergies with shifting policies on work and/or community service requirements for public beneficiaries.
