ST. LUKE'S MEDICAL OFFICE PAVILION in Duluth, MN is seeking a RN CIRCULATOR to join our PAVILION SURGERY CENTER team!
Salary Range: $38.91 - $56.43 Hourly
Schedule/
Hours:
DAY ONLY, 8 hours
Weekend Requirement:
Generally, No Weekends
FTE: PART TIME, 0.80 FTE

The Surgical Nurse is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating the patient plan of care within the Northern Lakes Surgery Center, Pavilion Surgery Center and Mariner Surgery Center operating room environment. Provides the human, technical and material resources for safe and timely completion of surgery. Contributes to overall unit efficiency, safety, workflow and utilization and assists with the pre‑op and post‑op nursing process.
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS
- Education:
See Licensure/Certification/Registration requirements. - Experience:
One (1) year experience in an Operating Room setting - Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Current license in Minnesota and Wisconsin to practice as a Registered Nurse. ACLS, PALS certification within one (1) year of hire into position and continuously maintained thereafter. BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, or Professional Rescuer from the American Red Cross only if issued prior to March 1, 2015, or Military Training Network.
Wisconsin Background Study upon hire into position and renewed per Wisconsin state law.

BSN - Experience:
Two (2) years working experience as a RN in an Operating Room Setting in a circulating capacity (not including clinicals) - Licensure/Certification/Registration: N/A
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of current principles, techniques and legal limits of nursing practice; knowledge of anatomy and physiology and physical assessment. Knowledge of customer relations principles. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, OSC personnel and Physicians and establish professional working relationships; ability to function as a team leader, Primary Nurse and role model; ability to accept individual responsibility and accountability for decisions and outcome.
Ability to work in stressful situations; to maintain accurate records, write reports, to participate in orientation of new personnel and teaching of students; to support Outpatient Surgery Center goals and objectives. Ability to perform basic computer keyboard operations; ability to print or write legibly, to hear, see, and to speak English.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires or complaints. - WRITING - Intermediate:
Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, or procedures. - SPEAKING - Intermediate:

Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw or interpret bar graphs to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. - REASONING ABILITY - Intermediate
Skills:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. - AGE SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES - Skilled at assessment and knowledgeable of growth and development.
