Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Shift Options: 56 hours/2 weeks overnight or 48 hours/2 weeks afternoon/evening. Both shifts include every other weekend rotation.

Position Overview:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides nursing care to residents/patients, including medications, treatments, documentation, and other therapeutic interventions under the supervision of the Director of Nursing/Clinical Director. The LPN also provides guidance to Nursing Assistants, Resident Assistants, Trained Medication Assistants, and other clinical staff on their unit/shift.

Ecumen Lakeshore - The Fountains offers short-term rehab and post-hospital care for up to 60 patients in spacious, private rooms along the scenic Lake Superior shoreline. Our nurses develop a comprehensive skill set including IV insertion, medication administration, lab draws, code response, complex wound care, advanced respiratory care, and restorative nursing in collaboration with our therapy team to support each patient’s recovery.

The targeted pay range for this role is $28.70 - $31.57 per hour. Ecumen considers various factors such as experience, qualifications, certifications, licenses, and education when determining starting pay.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care within the scope of practice for an LPN.
  • Coordinate and direct resident/patient care, collaborating with other departments from admission to discharge.
  • Assist Registered Nurses with assessments, documentation, and data collection, acting promptly on findings.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered, monitor residents’ conditions, and report changes appropriately. Ensure physician orders are signed and implemented timely.
  • Maintain resident and staff safety, respond to hazards, and follow infection control policies.
  • Keep work areas clean, sanitary, safe, and organized.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum Qualifications:

    • Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
    • Current LPN licensure in the state of practice.
    • Effective communication skills in written and verbal formats.
    • Basic computer proficiency.
    • Ability to adhere to all safety, health, and privacy policies, including HIPAA, OSHA, and others.

    Licenses & Certifications:

    Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
