Overview

The Nurse Residency Program offers a structured and supportive environment for new nurses to develop their skills and transition smoothly into their professional careers. The program coincides with the unit you are hired into.

Qualifications
  • Target audience:
    Newly licensed nurses or soon-to-be RNs with less than 1 year of experience.
  • Eligibility:
    Current nursing student OR recent graduate of an accredited nursing program OR starting first RN position with Essentia Health within one year of graduation.
  • Required Qualifications:

    Nursing license in state of employment;
    Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month.
