Position Overview
- Hours:
Full‑Time, 10am‑7pm, 5 days a week. Must be able to work some weekends. - Pay:
Competitive salary + commission + bonus. - Location:
5071 Miller Trunk Hwy, Hermantown, MN 55811. - Experience:
No experience needed; willing to learn and be trained. - Under the direction of the District Sales Manager and Store Manager, the Fitness Consultant works one‑on‑one with customers using a consultative sales process to find equipment solutions that best meet their fitness needs while working to achieve sales targets.
- Work closely with customers in a consultative sales process to ensure their needs are met and relationships are positive, productive, and profitable.
- Demonstrate products to customers.
- Ensure quality servicing of customers through personal involvement and intelligent solutions.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and recommend new customers.
- Identify customer issues and requests for new products and services.
- Respond to customer complaints and comments in a manner that resolves issues while maintaining company guidelines.
- Assist customers with in‑store pickup, safe disassembly, and transportation of merchandise.
- Ensure in‑store merchandising is effective, appealing, and aligns with company standards.
- Keep store inventory and products properly labeled, tagged, and priced.
- Record, track, and secure inventory; participate in monthly store inventory cycle counts.
- Perform all closing responsibilities and duties per policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper recording, reconciliation, and depositing of all cash, check, credit card, and financing transactions per company procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable building and grounds, ensuring garbage removal, floor vacuuming, and signage upkeep.
- Develop a solid understanding of store merchandise and benefits through manuals, literature, videos, and other resources.
- Inform the District Sales Manager and Store Manager of all pertinent factors affecting responsibilities.
- Monitor sales results for potential improvements and variances from plan, taking appropriate action.
- Monitor competitive activity, identify new competition or changes in competitor activities, and stay current on industry trends.
- Ensure prudent purchasing of used equipment that serves the company’s best interest.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous sales experience preferred but not required.
- Willing to train qualified candidates.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Physically able to demonstrate fitness equipment for customers.
