Low Voltage Technician

Per Mar Security Services, an industry leader in integrated security solutions, is seeking hardworking, motivated people to install, service, and test electronic security systems including burglar and fire alarms, CCTV, Access Control systems, and related equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.

• Install and wire specified alarm system devices.
• Test and verify that all systems and devices (alarm panels, sirens, horns, strobes, etc.) function properly and in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
• Use multimeters for voltage and ohm readings and perform circuit analysis.
• Hook up RJ31X to specified panel mountings of devices such as motion detectors, keypads, and controls.
• Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
• Explain and demonstrate to the customer how the installed alarm system works.
• Complete proper paperwork and submit to the appropriate department on a daily basis.
• Communicate with clients, coworkers, and Per Mar’s Central Monitoring Station.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the Installation Supervisor.

• Valid driver’s license with successful pre‑employment background checks and drug tests.
• Ability to obtain required licenses/certifications to perform work in the security industry per state regulations.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Mathematical skills (basic algebra, geometry, percentages, etc.).
• Knowledge of fire and electrical codes for safe and proper installation.

• Starting pay ranges from $20–$35 per hour based on experience
  , plus a monthly incentive program of up to 8% of annual pay.
