Senior Application Architect

We're looking for a hands-on Senior Application Architect to help lead the modernization of enterprise applications and drive the next generation of software platforms.

This role is ideal for someone who came up through software engineering and has evolved into architecture leadership. You'll work closely with developers, technical leaders, and business stakeholders to modernize legacy applications, design cloud-native solutions, establish application architecture standards, and guide development teams through delivery.

This is a highly technical role where you'll be expected to participate in architecture discussions, solution design, application modernization efforts, and technical decision-making across multiple initiatives.

• Design and lead modernization initiatives for legacy enterprise applications.
• Define target-state architectures and migration strategies.
• Guide teams through application refactoring, re-platforming, and cloud adoption efforts.
• Partner with engineering teams to improve scalability, resiliency, and maintainability.
• Design scalable, secure, and high-performing application architectures.
• Establish application design patterns and engineering best practices.
• Guide development teams on architecture decisions and implementation approaches.
• Participate in architecture reviews and technical design sessions.

• Design and implement API-first solutions.
• Define service boundaries and integration patterns.
• Build solutions using microservices and event-driven architecture principles.
• Collaborate with teams on messaging, integrations, and cloud-native application design.

• Mentor developers and provide architectural guidance.
• Conduct design reviews and support technical decision-making.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and proof-of-concepts.
• Collaborate closely with Development, Dev Ops, QA, and Platform teams.

• 10+ years of software engineering, application development, or architecture experience.
• Experience leading enterprise application modernization initiatives.
• Strong background designing and delivering large-scale enterprise applications.
• Hands-on application architecture experience in modern cloud environments.
• Ability to articulate architecture decisions and lead technical discussions.
