The Packaging Technician  IIisprimarilyresponsible forthe operationofthe packagingprocessandassociated equipment.

Thetechnicianisexpectedtopromotesafety,maintainasanitaryfoodenvironment,andstriveto improve product quality. This position has moderate oversight from supervisors.

• Undermoderatesupervision,ensuretheproperoperationofassignedequipment.
• EnsureproperproductisbeingprocessedperproductionscheduleandtheprocessisasSOPstates.
• Loadandoperatemachinesataset speedwithminimalprocessinterruptions.
• Troubleshootproductionissuesandreportthemimmediately.
• Responsibleformaintainingaccurateandcompletepaperwork,logs,andcomputersystemsforinventory accuracy.
• Ensureacontinuousflowofproductandmonitorforproperpositioning,spacing,sealing,and correct codes/labels.
• Communicateissuesto Shift Manager /Supervisorassoonaspossible.
• Performvisualinspectionforanydefects,repackaging,ordiscarddefectiveproductsbaseonprocedures.
• Ensurepackagingmaterialiscorrectfortheproducttype.
• Assistallcheeseemployeesasneeded.
• Responsibleformaintainingequipmentandcleanlinessofworkenvironment.
• Responsibleforproperproducthandlingtoensureminimalproductloss.
• Clean-upafterdailyproductionandpreparesuppliesforthenextshift.
• Notifiessupervisorofproblemsorpotentialproblemsthatdisruptproduction.
• Attendrequiredtrainingandtaketherequiredquizzestobeproficientinthearea.
• Responsibleforcompletingallsafetyactivities,planning meetings,near misses.
• CompletealljobactivitiesfollowingsetsafetyandoperationalSOP's.
• Keepsrecordsinaccordancewithgoodmanufacturingprocessesandlocalandstatelaws.
• Eachemployeeshallcomplywithoccupationalsafetyandhealthstandardsandallrules'regulations,and orders issued pursuant to the Occupational Safety and Health Act that are appliable to his/her own actions and conduct.
• Complieswithallapplicablefoodsafetyregulationsandmandates(Safe Quality Foods ,Foodand Drug Administration, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance).
• Complieswithallcompanyfoodsafetypoliciesandprocedures(including Good Manufacturing Practices ).
• Responsibleforprovidingfoodsafetyandqualityfeedbacktotheappropriatemanager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diplomaor GED preferred.
• Effectiveverbalandwrittencommunicationskills.
• Abilitytoworkinafast-paced environment.
