This is a part‑time position; salary will be pro‑rated to the hours worked.
Qualifications- Qualified social worker holding the Mental Health Officer (MHO) award.
- Membership with the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme is essential; membership or a PVG scheme update check must be completed prior to a formal offer.
- Undertake all statutory duties associated with the MHO role in accordance with relevant legislation.
- Care‑manage a small number of mentally disordered offenders within the specialist MHO Service.
The employment is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975; failure to disclose convictions where required can result in dismissal or disciplinary action.
