Consultant Orthodontist

Position Overview

Consultant in Orthodontics working 6 sessions per week (24 hpw). The role is primarily based at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary with occasional commitments at the Galloway Community Hospital in Stranraer.

Salary: £111,430 – £148,064.

Applicants must be fully registered with the GMC and on the Specialist Register for Orthodontics (or eligible for inclusion within 6 months of interview).

• Provide comprehensive diagnostic and advisory service for patients referred to the Orthodontic Department at DGRI.
• Focus on interdisciplinary management of dentofacial/craniofacial conditions and hypodontia cases, working closely with colleagues across specialties.
• Contribute to the effective functioning of the department and support the professional supervision and development of Training Grade staff.
• Assume the role of Clinical Lead for the Managed Clinical Network in Orthodontics across Dumfries and Galloway.
