Dental Nurse Training Wing

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Dental Nurse to join our Public Dental Service (PDS) to provide patient‑centred dental support for Dental and Therapy students at Dumfries Dental Centre. Coverage at other outlying clinics may be required at times.

• Provide patient‑centred dental support for students.
• Assist clinicians in the delivery of treatment, including managing two clinicians simultaneously.
• Support special care patients.
• Assist with on‑call rota for weekend emergency clinics.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, and effective communication.

• Clinical experience as a Dental Nurse and NEBDN qualification or SVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing.
• Registered with the GDC as a Dental Nurse.
• Sound knowledge of health and safety requirements in a clinical setting.
• Excellent communication skills and problem‑solving ability.
• Desire to work as part of a team and take initiative.
