An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 7 Sonographer to join a well-established AHP service in Dumfries. The position is ideal for a confident and skilled sonographer, particularly with experience in obstetric ultrasound, who is seeking both professional challenge and work-life balance in a supportive clinical environment.

As a Band 7 Sonographer, you will be responsible for:

Undertaking a broad range of ultrasound examinations, with a primary focus on obstetric scanning.

Delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in line with professional and clinical standards.

Producing accurate diagnostic images and comprehensive written reports.

Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support effective clinical decision-making.

Ensuring ultrasound equipment is used safely and appropriately, arranging servicing, calibration, and maintenance as required.

Maintaining accurate clinical records in accordance with local policies and professional guidelines.

Complying with health and safety regulations and infection prevention procedures.

Participating in continuous professional development to maintain and enhance clinical expertise.

HCPC registration.

Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualifying experience as a Sonographer.

Proven experience in obstetric ultrasound scanning.

Strong communication skills and a professional, patient-focused approach.

Full UK driving licence to support work across multiple sites.

Experience working autonomously in a Band 7 capacity.

Competitive hourly rate of £60.00 (negotiable).
