We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Physiotherapist to join our dynamic rotational programme at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary (DGRI). This is an excellent opportunity for newly qualified physiotherapists or those looking to broaden their clinical experience across a diverse range of specialties.
Our structured rotation scheme offers the chance to develop strong foundational skills while working as part of a supportive and experienced multidisciplinary team.
Rotations- Acute Medical and Surgical Wards
- Orthopaedics
- Care of the Elderly
- Respiratory, including on‑call commitments
- Stroke and Rehabilitation
- MSK Outpatients
- Rehabilitation in Community
- HCPC registration (or pending for upcoming graduates)
- A positive, proactive approach to learning and development
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively within an MDT
- Participation in the respiratory on‑call rota (training provided)
- Weekend rota
- A well‑established rotational programme with excellent supervision and support
- Regular CPD opportunities, including in‑service training
- Experience across a wide variety of clinical areas to support future career progression

The Physiotherapy Service at DGRI is a friendly and forward‑thinking team, committed to delivering high‑quality patient care and supporting staff development. Essential RequirementsA current driving licence is an essential requirement of this post. However, if you have a disability which precludes you from holding a driving licence, consideration will be given if alternative transport can be arranged.
