Dumfries | £27,447.33 per year | 35 hours per week | Fixed Term for 12 months

We’re looking for a talented Janitor to join the Estates Department on a fixed‑term contract.

• Provide high‑quality customer‑facing support service to ensure College buildings operate to the highest standards in terms of maintenance and security.

• SCQF Level 3 or equivalent skills and experience in janitorial and maintenance.
• Desirable experience of working in a similar Janitor role.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in digital skills relevant to the role, including experience using MS Office and any job‑specific software or systems.
• Adaptability to evolving digital opportunities and willingness to continuously improve digital competencies.
• Role based on Campus at Dumfries.

Successful applicants will have their employment conditional on the college receiving two satisfactory references and background checks including the Disclosure Scotland check on all criminal offences (spent and unspent), and must not be barred from working with children or vulnerable adults.

All staff are required to become a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) membership scheme, managed and delivered by Disclosure Scotland.
