Location: Dumfries
Hours: 12 Hour Shifts, 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights)
Salary: Up to £45k (Dependant on Experience) + Benefits

HRGO Recruitment is exclusively seeking a skilled Mechanical Shift Engineer for our manufacturing client located in the Dumfries area. We are particularly interested in candidates who have strong Mechanical skills and have worked in fast paced industrial engineering environments.

The ideal applicant will possess experience in FMCG or the Food & Beverage Manufacturing and Distribution sectors; however we do encourage applications from engineers from transferrable disciplines.

• Perform both scheduled and reactive maintenance on various pieces of equipment within an FMCG setting.
• Troubleshoot and identify faults.
• Diagnose and rectify machinery issues to reduce downtime and enhance production efficiency.
• Work closely with the production team to promote continuous improvement initiatives.
• Follow health and safety regulations while maintaining high work standards.

• Mechanical qualifications are desired (NVQ, HNC, 18th Edition or equivalent).
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Capability to thrive in a fast‑paced production environment.
• Experience with Extrusion would be beneficial.
