Newport Main purpose of the role:
To carry out day to day operational tasks on GWMC Treatment Plant, as directed by the Shift Managers, whilst assisting in maintaining the highest standards of health & safety performance, housekeeping and procedural and regulatory compliance. Duties/Responsibilities:
To perform Treatment Plant operations as directed by the Shift Managers. Such tasks will include (but not be limited to):
Offloading incoming waste tankers Tipping packaged waste as transferred from the Transfer Station Operating the site plant Directing plant traffic Cleaning any operational areas or plant To assist the site management to continually strive towards the highest health & safety goals. To follow company procedures where they impact on operations, and assist in the development and maintenance of these. To maintain the highest standards of housekeeping.

To work with the Shift Managers to monitor and improve productivity and efficiencies, including those of the operatives. To assist the Shift Managers in identifying and satisfying training requirements. To report maintenance issues and assist where necessary in their resolution. This may involve travel to other Tradebe group sites where appropriate. To assist with the planned preventative maintenance system where appropriate.

To help ensure the transfer of wastes from the transfer station is maximised and carried out efficiently. To assist the Transfer Station Chemists and Operatives where required. To ensure that all records required by statutory regulation and company procedure are maintained, where requested. To perform all other reasonable duties and tasks as requested.
