We're looking for a Marketing Officer to help shape the voice of Dumfries Music Collective.
Dumfries Music Collective (DMC) is looking for a creative, organised and enthusiastic Marketing Officer to help us tell our story, promote our programmes and champion the young people, artists and emerging creatives we work with across Dumfries & Galloway.
DMC is an independent, not-for-profit Community Interest Company supporting young people and developing the contemporary music sector across the region. Through live events, workshops, mentoring, networking and artist development, we connect local talent with the wider music industry and create opportunities for people to build confidence, skills and careers.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves music, enjoys creating engaging content and wants their work to have a genuine impact.
As Marketing Officer, you will help develop and deliver DMC's marketing strategy and promote our projects, events and opportunities. You will manage our social media channels, update our Squarespace website, produce newsletters and create engaging written, photographic and video content. You will also work with artists and partners, capture content at events, support ticket campaigns and coordinate print and promotional materials.
The role will involve monitoring campaign performance and audience engagement, supporting accessibility and inclusion across our communications, maintaining marketing contacts and contributing to funder reporting and evaluation.
We're looking for someone who is creative, curious, organised and a confident communicator, with experience in marketing or communications. You should have strong social media knowledge, excellent written communication skills and the ability to work independently. Experience with Squarespace and Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite is essential.
Knowledge of Dumfries & Galloway's creative sector, photography or videography skills, experience in arts and culture, music industry knowledge and existing media contacts would be desirable.
You'll join a small, friendly team with big ambitions, with flexible and hybrid working, creative freedom and opportunities for professional development. Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to use your skills to help young people access opportunities and strengthen Dumfries & Galloway's vibrant contemporary music community.
