OverviewThe Role Vigilant Security are looking for experienced Security Officers to join our local team at a variety of job roles within Dumfries & Galloway. You will provide our 5-star front-of-house service delivery while maintaining a subtle, yet visible security presence. A warm welcome from our front-of-house team will determine the first impressions of our visitors. This guest service and security role is to provide the highest level of care.
In addition to local work, you will have the opportunity to work at venues and events further afield. Whether you are seeking full-time work or a handful of shifts, this casual contract offers great flexibility. You must be able to work days, nights, and weekends where needed. We offer a competitive rate of pay and annual leave including bank holidays.
- Always deliver a 5-star guest experience.
- Provide a professional first impression and deliver beyond client/visitor expectations.
- Maintain a consistently superior level of guest service at all times.
- Interact with guests in a sensitive, professional manner and acknowledge all guests.
- Be proactive in greeting clients and visitors and anticipate client requirements in a professional manner.
- Provide a consistent, professional service and ensure adherence to health and safety policies.
- Ensure all fire exits are kept clear and report any health and safety issues.
- Maintain a high level of security awareness at all times.
- Complete a full, detailed handover at the end of each shift.
- Professional, flexible, enthusiastic, proactive, self-motivated team player.
- Smart and confident with a true passion for high standards of guest service delivery.
- Reliability, punctuality, and good attendance; ability to work independently with initiative.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (clear, concise, and confident).
- Ability to access and utilize resources when making decisions; strong common sense and judgment.
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality; acute sense of security awareness.
- Valid SIA license preferred but not essential (SIA training can be provided).
- Fully comprehensive 5-year work/education history.
