Used Vehicle Preparation Mechanic

Arnold Clark Dumfries is looking for a Used Vehicle Preparation Mechanic.

We’re on the lookout for skilled mechanics with at least two years’ experience to work on an exciting range of makes and models. Whether it’s servicing, repairs, or maintenance, you’ll be part of a talented team, expanding your expertise and gaining industry-recognised qualifications.

• Conduct vehicle inspections and diagnostics
• Record inspections digitally
• Perform routine servicing and maintenance tasks
• Prepare vehicles for MOT tests and customer handovers
• Ensure all work meets manufacturer and industry standards
• Maintain accurate records of work completed

The skills and qualities you need…

• Experience – Minimum two years in a vehicle workshop environment
• Qualifications – At least Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Skills – Strong understanding of servicing, repairs, and diagnostics
• Team player – Ability to work independently and alongside others
• Attention to detail – A proactive approach to every task
• Full UK driving licence

• Opportunity to earn up to £9,000 every three years in performance bonuses – terms and conditions apply.
