Purpose of Role:

Provision of Refuse & Recycling collection services, to domestic & commercial, properties across Dumfries & Galloway.

Duties will include:

• Driving of Refuse, Recycling, Food Waste & White Goods/Bulky collection vehicles.
• Ensuring collection of refuse & recycling routes daily in a safe and efficient manner adhering to Health & Safety and Safe Working Procedures.
• Any other tasks relating to Waste Collection Services functions.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for recruitment within the Facilities, Waste and Neighbourhood Services, Directorate.

We deliver a wide variety of frontline services and require a Senior Refuse & Recycling Operative at our depot in Cargen Tower, Dumfries.

You will be expected to carry out a range of duties as instructed by the Waste Supervisor.

Ideally you will have a working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements, in Waste Management and Transportation.

You will be able to work both independently and as a team member.

This post is subject to candidate vetting through Disclosure Scotland.

You will be educated to Standard Grade Level and have Class C, HGV License, and valid Driver CPC.
