As Registrar, you will lead efforts at the VSA, focusing on regulatory compliance and consumer protection in the motor dealer industry. This position is pivotal in establishing dealer licensing standards, addressing consumer complaints, and guiding educational initiatives for both consumers and industry professionals. You will collaborate closely with government bodies and stakeholders to ensure robust regulatory practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish licensing requirements for dealers and agents

• Handle compliance investigations and enforcement actions

• Conduct hearings on licensing and regulatory matters

• Oversee the development of consumer education programs

• Ensure effective management of the Compensation Fund

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years in regulatory legal practice

• Experienced leader with at least 5 years in management

• Licensed lawyer in good standing with the BC Law Society

• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

• Ability to engage effectively with external stakeholders
