Location: Koksilah
Join ISLAND FARMHOUSE POULTRY in Cowichan Bay, BC as a Food Production Labourer. This onsite role focuses on food safety, packing, and material transport, with training available for newcomers.
ISLAND FARMHOUSE POULTRY is looking to fill three full-time positions with dedicated individuals eager to learn. The role involves working in a meat processing environment, handling ingredients and finished products with attention to food safety. No prior experience is necessary as comprehensive training will be provided to help you succeed in this physically demanding position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Transport raw materials and finished goods
• Measure and load ingredients into machines
• Manually pack products into containers
• Inspect for quality defects in products
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment
Requirements:
• Willingness to work in a refrigerated environment
• Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
• Strong attention to detail
• Commitment to food safety practices
• Open to on-the-job training
