Health LPN Indigenous Liaison

Position: Island Health LPN Indigenous Liaison Role
Support Indigenous health initiatives at Island Health as an LPN Indigenous Liaison Nurse. This casual position enhances service accessibility through culturally competent care and requires periodic travel.

You will report to the Manager and work to bridge health service gaps for Indigenous clients. The role focuses on collaborative care while integrating Indigenous health protocols. Emphasizing adaptability and integrity, you will navigate a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate Indigenous client connections to health services

• Deliver care within the BCCNM standards

• Uphold professionalism and empathy in interactions

• Record and document client information accurately

• Advise diverse groups on available health services

Requirements:

• Valid LPN registration with BCCNM

• Two years of nursing experience or equivalent

• BC Driver's License required

• Understanding of Indigenous health matters

• Preference given to Indigenous candidates
