Sunrise Waldorf School is seeking a dedicated, dynamic, and Waldorf‑aligned Physical and Health Education Teacher to join our vibrant school community. We are looking for an educator (for around 2 days, or towards a .4) who brings strong pedagogical insight, a deep respect for child development, and a genuine enthusiasm for physical and health education. The successful candidate will teach PHE to students across a range of ages and abilities, delivering both the BC Ministry of Education PHE curriculum and the Waldorf Physical Education program informed by Spacial Dynamics® principles.

Key ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Thoughtful planning, preparation, and delivery of developmentally appropriate PHE lessons from grade 4 and up
- Positive student engagement and classroom management skills
- Clear and responsive communication with parents, including scheduled meetings
- Assessment and documentation of student learning, including written reports
- Active participation in supervision duties to support the safety and wellbeing of students
- Ongoing commitment to professional development
Ideal Qualifications
- Waldorf Teacher Training or experience teaching in a Waldorf school
- Bachelor of Education or equivalent training
- BC Teaching Certificate or eligibility
- Strong behaviour management skills grounded in compassion and relationship
- Understanding of child development from a Waldorf lens
