Education Assistant Cran Elementary

Support student learning as a Certified Education Assistant at Duncan Cran Elementary School, focusing on educational programs and daily School Meals duties. Join a collaborative team for hybrid instructional support.

This role is designed for a Certified Education Assistant who will aid teachers and assist special-needs students in a classroom setting. Candidates will partake in personal care, behaviour management, and provide both pull-out support for groups and in-class assistance. Training from medical personnel will be provided when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students in completing daily educational tasks

• Construct instructional materials like games and learning centers

• Operate technology and adaptive aids as required

• Supervise completion of IEP education activities

• Foster student independence and peer interactions

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent education

• Education Assistant Certificate with training in behavioural support

• Level 1 First Aid and CPI certification

• Ability to maintain calm in challenging situations

• Food Safe Certificate and Class 5 driver’s license
