Position: Principal Role for Penelakut Island Elementary
Become the Principal of Penelakut Island Elementary School, leading educational initiatives and cultural integration. This role involves overseeing budgets, staff, and comprehensive academic programs.

The Penelakut Tribe is looking for a passionate Principal to direct its elementary school’s educational strategy and community involvement. This leadership role requires effective communication with parents, teachers, and students while ensuring a safe, high-performing learning environment. You'll manage budgets and provide oversight for curriculum delivery while integrating local culture into every aspect of school life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all school programs and personnel

• Establish benchmarks for students and staff

• Enhance teacher and student performance through development

• Lead Penelakut cultural integration initiatives

• Prepare detailed school financial and performance reports

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in education or leadership field

• Valid BC Professional Teaching Certificate in good standing

• Experience with First Nations education preferred

• Significant leadership experience in school settings

• Familiarity with Coast Salish cultural heritage
