Position: Full-Time Planning Technician in BC
Join the Cowichan Valley Regional District as a full-time Planning Technician. Engage with land use inquiries, support development services, and adhere to legislative requirements.

This temporary position, within the Development Services Division, requires interaction with public members, applicants, and external agencies. As a Planning Technician, you will be responsible for managing subdivision and development queries. You must complete tasks within timelines that align with CVRD policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to land use inquiries and referrals

• Support development services for land use

• Interact with public and departmental staff

• Ensure compliance with legislative requirements

• Manage projects in accordance with CVRD policies

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in a related field

• 6 months of relevant experience preferred

• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License

• Knowledge of customer service and negotiation

• Certification in planning or related organizations preferred

Contribute to effective land management and ensure adherence to regulations as a Planning Technician.
