Location: North Cowichan
Become a Skilled Baker at Country Grocer’s bakery in Duncan. Create high-quality breads and rolls in a supportive and dynamic environment.
As a full-time Baker, you will handle the preparation and baking of yeast-leavened goods. You'll be using commercial mixers and ovens, ensuring all baked products meet our quality standards. Flexibility for early morning shifts and weekend work is essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Produce fresh bread, rolls, and other bakery items
• Handle dough preparation with precision
• Monitor baking times and temperatures carefully
• Document production details and adjust as necessary
• Follow strict food safety and hygiene regulations
Requirements:
• Strong knowledge of yeast products and baking techniques
• Ready to start shifts as early as 4:00 am
• Food Safe certification is a plus
• Solid physical capabilities for lifting and long hours
• Comfortable working in hot kitchen conditions
